This Expression of Interest is now closed.

BRISBANE ART DESIGN (BAD) is set to return in May 2023.

Produced by Museum of Brisbane (MoB), BAD highlights the Brisbane art and design sector through a city-wide celebration that champions innovation and sustainability.

As the drivers of our dynamic industry, we invite you–artists, designers, creative thinkers and venue keepers–to join in this celebration.

Together, we will support Brisbane’s creative sector, build audiences, stimulate the economy and showcase our distinct cultural identities.

We encourage you to read the brief below, and submit a concept for consideration.

Good pitches encouraged, BAD pitches preferred.

Expressions of interest closed Friday 14 October at 5pm.

Who can submit an expression of interest?

We encourage venues, studios, emerging and established creatives, art collectives or cultural place-makers to submit an expression of interest.

What should be included in the expression of interest?

The expression of interest asks for your details, the planned activation weekend, the location, a brief event overview, the proposed accessibility measures as well as some examples of past work.

Is there a fee for involvement in the BAD program?

There is no fee associated with this opportunity. The event/venue will be included in the BAD 2023 program, which will be featured on the BAD website, added to the Neighbourhood Guided Walking Trails (where possible) and be promoted through the BAD marketing campaign.
