An exhibition dedicated to Brisbane's great repatriation.

All my friends are (leaving) returning to Brisbane considers this current moment, where, after many years of friends moving away, we are starting to see a return of the Brisbane exodus. The title of the exhibition references the indie rom-com ‘All my friends are (leaving) returning to Brisbane, 2007′, which was directed by Louise Alston and screenplay written by Stephen Vagg. The film tells the story of Anthea and Michael, two friends in their late twenties who relentlessly discuss whether or not to move away from Brisbane.

The exhibition is a space of conversation about how friends moving away from Brisbane and coming back to Brisbane influences us, and what this means for our cultural landscape.
