PRESENTED BY

KEPK

An exhibition of ceramics sculptures composed by altered geometric forms.

The exhibition displays a collection of ceramics sculptures and vases which play with geometric shapes by altering spheres and triangles to create movement and fluidity. A strong emphasis is given to the shape itself, breaking lines and edges, which eventually alter how glazes fall and set on the object, and how it interacts with light.

The pieces are either hand built or thrown on the wheel then altered to add inflection and contour. Some works include vases with a parametric twist, while others are purely sculptural. The designs are versatile, with multiple orientations offering multiple perspectives and allowing us to play with the object and vary its display in the same vein as we like to vary our home d‚cor.

The atelier Anoosh de Broc is located at KEPK in Yeerongpilly. It is run by Melina who is working in evolutionary biology research using 3D models of bones from living and extinct mammals.
