Internationally-acclaimed artists Anthony Lister and Scott Redford join forces for the first time to present new works that blur street art, advertising and popular culture, cast through a cheeky lens. Merging painting, sculpture, works on paper, moving image and installation, the artists will showcase works that fascinate, challenge, and at times, provoke gallery audiences, using imagery that places Ned Kelly and Tom Cruise as subjects. Scott is one of Australia’s most provocative artists, having built a storied career out of subverting and championing mainstream popular culture. Currently based in Brisbane, he previously divided his time between Berlin and Brisbane, where he established art and design crossover projects such as ‘BurnRate’. Anthony is one of Australia’s most prominent artists, best known for merging ‘high’ and ‘low’ cultural imagery through both street art and gallery exhibitions.
