Aboriginal Art Co.

Join us and guest facilitator Dylan Mark Bolger as we visit a number of public artworks all within two minutes of each other.

Hear directly from Dylan as he talks about his mural, Keratoconus Leaf and learn about the artworks in Fish Lane.

The tour begins at Aboriginal Art Co and from there we will visit two to five nearby locations. On this stroll visitors will learn about the First Nations public artworks on our doorstep. This tour is suitable for people of all ages as each location is within two minutes of each other. After the tour visitors are invited to return to Aboriginal Art Co for a cup of lemon myrtle tea. A perfect way to connect and learn in a casual environment.

About Dylan Mark Bolger: Maiawali, Karuwali and Pitta-Pitta and Gomeroi.

I feel there is a much-needed importance of representing my people in the built environment and I seek opportunities that allow for awareness and the promotion of the rich culture that was/still is here. I look to combine my art, my culture and my technical experience to deliver a unique perspective to each and every project.

Looking for something to do after the tour? Why not check out the First Nations Design Markets just around the corner. Featuring your favourite local makers there is something for everyone to enjoy.

This event is presented in partnership with Museum of Brisbane (MoB) as a part of BRISBANE ART DESIGN (BAD).
