As a focal celebration of BaD’s glittering offerings, FireWorks gallery will host “In Between, Out the Back and Up the Creek” – a carpark Artists’ Party like no other. The In Between, Out the Back and Up the Creek celebration complements the themes of Firework’s signature exhibition for the Festival – “Half-Way House” – to continue the no-taking-sides celebrations that have long formed the history of the creative cultural heartland of Brisbane. We’re offering a gathering space to share food, some bevs, lights, lounges and tunes – and the opportunity to revel in the messy contradictions that form the Brisbane Art and Design scene. The event will function as a pop-up cultural hub for the BAD exhibition celebrations at FireWorks and Gallery 6 31 at 31 Thompson Street, Bowen Hills. Like all Brisbane’s very best gigs, it offers a temporary space on which to make lasting memories. Don’t miss this.
