11 – 25 May 9am – 5pm
171 Robertson St,
An exhibition of iconic designs and objects from the world's most loved and recognised designers.
This exhibition will present the most celebrated masterpieces of design by legendary designers such as Ray and Charles Eames, Achilie Castiglioni, and Verner Panton, among others.
As you enter the gallery, you’ll be welcomed by the giant House of Cards installation, an iconic design by the legendary husband-and-wife design team, Ray and Charles Eames. Towering over your head, the House of Cards structure is a stunning display of interlocking shapes, bold colors, and intricate patterns. Originally created in 1952, this set of interlocking cards was intended as a toy that could be used to create a variety of different structures and patterns.
Throughout the showroom, there will be immersive activations that tell the unique story and inspiration behind each product, providing a deeper understanding of the design process and the thoughts behind each piece.
From mid-century modern to postmodernism, this exhibition is a tribute to the brilliance and creativity of these iconic designers. Come witness the evolution of design and the lasting impact of their designs on the world around at Living Edge during BAD.
