Studio visit and glass-working demonstration by Glassery collective artists.
The Glassery are five artists with independent and occasionally collaborative practices engaging with artisanal skills and new and old technology to create contemporary sculpture, design objects and installations.
Visit the workshop space shared by several Glassery artists at the Paint Factory, and view live glass-working demonstrating some of the key skills and techniques behind their exhibition work. Glassery artists will be available for conversation about their individual and collaborative studio practice.
This event complements the collective?s concurrent New Glass exhibition (Land Street Gallery, Toowong), which showcases new works and propositions in the medium of glass.
