During this introductory “come play with clay” workshop, Susie Hansen will teach you how to make an animal or figure roughly in clay, focusing on pose, character and facial expression.
You’ll learn to:
- Think about how “character” is portrayed in pose and composition.
- Think what setting completes this narrative? Is it one place / a related object or image.
- Work to connect the Figure and the setting visually.
- Retrain the brain to observe and feel rather than predict the “known outcomes” of what we believe a head/body/hand or foot to look like.
