BAD launches across the CBD with installations and pop-up exhibitions, live improvisational art activation and full venue take-overs! Extend the experience beyond dusk and immerse yourself in the wonder of Botanica, where the City Botanic Gardens will transform through contemporary installations and projections. 

Valley

Weekend 2, 14 - 16 May

Fortitude Valley, New Farm

VIEW NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Valley clashes contemporary art with “craftivism” with its steadfast cohort of skilled makers and designers. Public interventions in surprising spaces light the way from Brunswick Street to James Street while BADideas give us insight into some of our leading galleries and practitioners.

Northside

WHEN

Weekend 3, 21 – 23 May

WHERE

Albion, Newstead, Teneriffe, Bowen Hills

VIEW NEIGHBOURHOOD

Get some sawdust in your hair, clay under your nails and chocolate in your belly and explore the wonders of the Northside across Teneriffe, Newstead and Albion. On Saturday wander through open studios and galleries then on Sunday discover an emerging pocket of makers, bakers, movers and shakers. 

Southside

Our final weekend cuts through the buzzing Southside. Take a Friday night gallery crawl through West End to the West Village or spend your Saturday exploring exhibitions and conversations. Don’t miss the block party at Fish Lane’s Town Square featuring Indigenous music, projections and performances!
