Brisbane Art Design 2021 will bring together galleries, design-houses, studios and fabricators showcasing our creative and connected city. The citywide festival champions the sector with a distinctly Brisbane voice, giving supporters, audiences, artists, designers, makers and business greater insight and access to each other.
Across 26 venues the BAD 2019 festival showcased more than 130 Brisbane creatives, from emerging talents who are making their mark locally, to international trailblazers who are redefining creativity.
With 2019’s audience exceeding 40,000, Brisbane Art Design 2021 offers collaborative partnership opportunities from corporate packages to brand activations, helping our partners achieve a greater connection with our city, sector and its audience.

BAD 2019 at a glance

Across the seventeen days Brisbane Art Design attracted 43,864 individuals who attended or participated in one of the Brisbane Art Design events.

Brisbane Art Design generated direct and incremental expenditure of $411,263 attributable to the Brisbane economy and $263,503 attributable to the Queensland economy.

Brisbane Art Design was responsible for generating 1,711 visitor nights in Brisbane. The majority of these nights were generated by overseas visitors (1,027).

In total, $295,047 was spent by overnight visitors who stayed more than 40km from their normal place of residence. The majority of this spending was undertaken by overseas visitors ($156,157).

When assessing ‘community pride’, Brisbane Art Design rates high to very high on most of the indicators. The highest level of agreement was recorded for the statement ‘Brisbane is a great location for Brisbane Art Design’ (4.6/5).
