Come along: Reconciliation Week Exhibition Opening Night at Birrunga Gallery.
Reconciliation week exhibition at Birrunga Gallery show cases the Indigenous artists a part of the Creative Cultural Development Program (CCDP) as well as Birrunga Wiradyuri himself. The CCDP was developed by International artist Birrunga Wiradyuri. The curriculum is based in cultural practises and knowledge. The current CCDP cohort consists of Kane Brunjes (Lead Artist) – 4th year, Stevie O’Chin – 2nd year, Naomi Green – 1st year. Kane was a Brisbane Portrait Prize finalist in 2021 and 2022 and Stevie was a Brisbane Portrait Prize finalist also in 2021.
The opening night of the exhibition is a chance to be the first to experience the exhibit and get up close and personal with the artists and experience the gallery space – the only Indigenous owned gallery in the Brisbane CBD.
