Indigenous artists talk about the Reconciliation Week exhibition.

Each year Birrunga Gallery has a Reconciliation Week exhibition that showcases the art of the Creative Cultural Development Program (CCDP) team as well as work from Birrunga Wiradyuri. The curriculum for the CCDP was created by Birrunga and is based in cultural practice and knowledge. The CCDP Lead Artist is Kane Brunjes who is in his 4th year of the program. Kane was a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize in 2021 and 2022. Stevie O’Chin is in her 2nd year of the program and was a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize in 2021. Naomi Green is in her 1st year of program. The artists whose work will be displayed in Birrunga Gallery for the Reconciliation Week Exhibition will talk on a panel in the gallery space. They will speak about their creative process and the audience will have opportunity to ask questions.
