The State Library of Queensland is taking its suburban obsession to the streets. Join SLQ for a walking tour of West End with a local architect who lives in the area. Discover some of the unique stories of the suburb and learn about some of the houses from the area that were captured in the Frank and Eunice Corley House Photographs Collection. Participants are invited to bring their camera, sturdy walking shoes and a water bottle. The event is part of Home: a suburban obsession, an exhibition inspired by one of the largest digitised photographic collections of Queensland houses. During the 1960s and 70s, locals Frank and Eunice roamed the suburbs, photographing houses in South East Queensland. Fifty years on, the legacy of their efforts are showcased in an extensive collection of images that indiscriminately capture Queensland housing stock, from the architectural to the ramshackle.

Tour begins at Bunyapa Park, West End.
